thanks ror your reply boys ,but as important to us as the music was, the fashion went hand in glove (no pun intended) & it was never flares or bags, does any one remember, circa 76,wearing peg trousers (from acme attractions,kings rd) smiths jeans winkle picker shoes, left over from the 60s bum freezer suits ( later to be copied by david bowie) american collage jackets mohair jumpers (not punk) & hawian shirts from antiquarious, again from the kings rd to rolled out nation wide a year or so later (pre the whistle blowing scarf in the belt brigade,oooh oooh of 79)in fact all the cloathes from the set of happy days.you had to have this stuff to look good when laying down your steps & soul spin.

There was a great article in one of the recent Faith Strobelight Honey magazines, where one of the guys from that time documented the connection between the music and the fashions of the time. I'll see if I can find it and will email it to you - it was essential reading!
